Hi-Lo camper travel trailer forum - 2008 Hi-Lo + 4x4 Van

2001 Ford E350 Chateau wagon with Quiggley conversion 4X4 (learn more about them at www.quiggley4x4.com) with 146k miles. Tires are wrangler all-terrain adventure with 30k miles. V10 engine and drive responsive and brakes are good.
Van will consistently get 11 mpg when cruising at 70 mph whether towing a camper trailer or not. The Chateau wagon is an all-power model and everything works with exception of the air conditioner. I was told the airline to rear unit was leaking and I haven't pursued the repair. I have added an air pressure monitor for the tires, a windshield-mounted camera, and a Garmin gps map and compass.

The camper is a 2008 23' long model 2308C Hi-Lo. Hi-Lo is a telescoping travel trailer that when lowered is not as tall as the van towing it. Hi-Lo was made in Bellville, OH. since 1955 (learn more at www.hilotrailer.com). Everything is functional but the years are starting to show in that the awning has some tape repairs made across the top portion. The tires are newer but I can't find the receipt. The front sofa folds out for a full-size bed and the dinette is a smaller size bed. The air conditioner cools quickly and the heater warms the cabin in no time. The refrigerator is three-way 120V AC/ 12V DC/ and propane. I always plug into AC when available but when camping use the gas option because the refrigerator uses so little fuel. The camper and van both come with canvas covers for storage. I have always winterized the camper and stored it outside and never had an issue in the spring.

I will be sorry to see this rig go but I am looking for a house on a lake. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have or take more detailed pictures. This camper/van looks good from 20 feet away but closer inspection will show scratches in the paint and there is rust developing in a few areas that I'm glad to point out.
