RV dealers not allowed to post

Someone correct me if I am wrong. I thought RV dealers aren't allowed to post RV for sale.

Actually Sam, I hope dealers are allowed, these Hilos are getting harder to find:D

Has anyone else noticed the values are increasing. Good for owners/sellers, bad for buyers. It does make them more worthwhile to redo when needed.

Don't worry I am Harmless and have been selling Hilo's for 13 years. I won't be spamming your forum :).. I use to post frequently on the Yahoo Hilo Group and many Hilo owners in Arizona know me and Dillon's Rv City.. I have this unit in stock now and you can view them at Hi-Lo 2010 2510H

thank you

Nice trailer! Is that the one from the Phoenix area that was listed on e-bay recently?

Very possible he did have it posted online for a little while. :)

Although I can't find a written rule about advertising here on the forum, it has been the general rule that dealers are to not advertise. A forum member can link to a website where they have seen trailers advertised, such as, craigslist.com or Big Deal Ralph's RV.com, etc. If you are selling your personal trailer that's okay to post here.

Like i said before i am not a troll and will not be trashing your forum. I have been selling Hilo's for 12+ years. Like Airstream's they can be hard to find. I would think most members will agree that a Hilo Trailer Forum would be the perfect spot for a member to find a good used Hilo if it is available. I will follow along if your general consensus is for me not to post here ;) Happy Camping!

I bought my HiLo from Dillon's, so, I'm glad to see they're still in business.

Rich, I'd vote to let him continue "advertizing" here. As he said, our trailers can be hard to find, so, any source, in my opinion, is welcome.

However, I would NOT like to see ads for other brand trailers here. It's a HiLo forum, after all.

How about we take a poll?

There are no written rules for this forum that I can find. Other forums with this same format do have rules. Let's let the majority rule.

I don't have a problem with it as long as the dealer is not annoying forum members.

I think that's a good idea. Why don't you set up a poll for this?

You could also have "paid sponsors" that pay some fee for the privilege of advertizing. I doubt Neal and Bev set this forum up for paying sponsors though.

dealers advertising HiLoS for sale.

I vote no. However,I would like to see HiLo service advisors and or HiLo parts persons answer some questions.

charlie b 08-07-2014 09:49 PM

If any one has a hilo or parts for sale, I don't care if they are dealers or not just so the post is personal, not some copy and paste junk. The post from Dillion's was not offensive to me. I would even like Dealers that have a sale on Hilo parts list them here too. When you are trying to locate parts every little bit helps. ;)

RCREYES 08-08-2014 08:55 AM

I'm all for only Hi-Lo's. I like the service center idea as well. I remember a while back there was talk of putting a list together of places that still serviced Hi-Lo's.

You have to remember that these people are in business to make money not to hand out free advice. What happens many times is, they give someone advice and then the newly educated people go somewhere else to buy the parts or get the work done cheaper. That really isn't fair.
