Step assembly

I'm looking for a three level step assembly, 21 1/2" wide. If I can find one, will
have a double and single available. ror007@aol.com

Pretty standard equipment. You should be able to find at any RV parts dealer.

Thanks for the response, everything around these parts, San Antonio, are 24in., and that won't fit the cut out in the skirt on our 2001.

You can do a google search. Most of the triple steps I've seen are 24". You can find the double steps in 21"

also do a search of RV salvage yards

On our 2310H the out to out measurement is 21 1/2", that is on the mount for the steps. The HiLo models models with the tip-out have three steps and I'm sure they are the same width. Now that I have looked around I think they are 24" steps. They must be available somewhere. I will be seeing a 2409T next weekend and I will check the width, I also want to see if there is a manufacturer's name or number on it.

I found these steps but they don't seem to have three step units in your width.

Me again. :)

I believe this is the manufacturer of most steps: Elkhart Tool and Die : Elkhart Indiana - RV Steps and Accessories

The step on my HiLo is a 24" step. I can't find a name on it. The link that RichR gave above to Elkhart looks just like mine.

Thanks to both of you. It seems that HiLo only used 21 1/2 inch two level steps on some or maybe all Classics, apparently they set a little closer to the ground, but as far as I am concerned not close enough for only two steps. At this time we use a fabricated portable step, but this only adds more hassle. I was hoping someone might have one laying around the garage LOL. I will just keep looking and hoping.

Hi Rich, thanks for responding, I had already contacted Elkhart, it seems they only build a 24" two level step. I will keep looking. Make that three level.

Finding steps

My dh is a semiretired sheet metal fabricator. Maybe you could get a sheet metal shop to make some up for you.

Thanks, I too have done my share of metal fabrication over the years, but if I can find one already assembled I would rather go that route. I have already bought a single step and if need be I will add it to the existing unit. That just means about three times the time and labor.
