1975 hilo sizes and weight

Hello,

I am hoping to buy a 1975 hilo camper but need to know the size and weight so I know how likely/easy/difficult it will be to pull. Can anyone help me!? Thanks!

I believe you'll first need to

provide a model number.

Also, it would be helpful to know what you intend to pull it with.

Also not sure where you would find weight vs year or model.
You have the year. Can you view this hilo that you are thinking about buying? If so look for a data plate on the passenger side of the front frame area near where the gas bottles are. Also at that time you can measure the length from the rear bumper to the front of the hilo box. Then measure the distance from the ball part to the box and then add and you have the model length. Or data plate might have your info for model and length. See the pic of mine.

Good Luck on this one.

I am not sure I will be able to get the model #. The person selling it is doing it for friends 3 hours away from me. He is supposed to look into it and get more information, but I am not sure what he will come up with. The only info he did have is that he measured it to be 14 feet long. I (think) have attached two photos he provided.. not sure if this will be enough information to be helpful, so I will hopefully get back with more! The car that will be pulling the camper is a 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5 premium edition. Not turbo. Believe it is rated for 2400 lbs. I plan to be on the go a lot and want to make sure that pulling it is feasible for a lot of movement. Thank you so much for your help!

I'll throw out a wild guess

and say that pictured trailer (with cargo) will exceed your Subaru's capabilities.

That trailer is way too much for a Forester. A small popup trailer is about what they can handle. An Outback maybe could do it. We have two Foresters and know what they can or cannot do.

Two Foresters

tied up like a choo-choo might could do it.

Thank you

Thank you everyone for letting me know to not waste any more of my time! I was hoping to strip down the hilo and only have the essentials. Anyway, looks like my pop-up will have to do!

If you have made up your mind and don't want it then please post some info about where it is as someone on this site might have an interest in it.
