Drop Down Bed In 22'
 

I am wondering how dependable the drop down bed is in the 22'? Our adult son who weighs about 145 lbs. would be the one to sleep above us so..... Dependable in that we don't want to wake up with the drop down bed on top of us.:eek: We are sort of thinking maybe bigger with him on a sofa bed in a tip-out. Actually, whatever becomes available in our area at the right price would most likely be our choice so I want to cover all the bases to be ready. Thank you.:)

The drop down bed will support him they are rated at 250 lbs. You just have to provide a way of getting up on the bed.

Thanks! Would one step on the lower bed to boost themselves up or would it require a step stool? And, he probably would step on me if using the bed.:rolleyes:

Our Granddaughter steps on whatever is available at the moment, my leg, the bed, the shelf beside the fridge. :)

Hello, I have a 21 foot Hi lo and we made a Bunk ladder out of 1" PVC. Works great and lightweight.

I thought it was advertised at 350 Lbs.

I didn't know for sure but knew it would hold 250

I think if you look through the brochures you will find 350 pounds. In the video good old Larry Mills says 350.

Thanks! I watched the video and the bunk. My husband vaguely remembers when we saw one that it wasn't very difficult to manage. Changing the subject a little, I watched the video on the shower. The male members of the family are like ducks in water so I had a thought about possibly taking some diameter of plastic plumbing pipe and making an enclosure of sorts to give the curtain a little rigidity or possibly using something circular in a couple places. We are really trying to stay small and simple but with more comfort and security than the pop-up. Hopefully if we ever get a break, we'll get out to look at a couple.

To keep the water in the shower, we use 3 vinyl shower curtains, one clear without weights and 2 white with weights.

We run one white one along the track under the shower nozzle and covers 1/2 the shower. We run another white one on the opposite side of the shower (where there is no nozzle) and overlap the 2 curtains by 3 holes. We face the opening between the 2 curtains away from the shower head so the water doesn't get between them. We also cut down the shower curtains 2-3 inches so they wouldn't drag on the shower pan.

We take the clear shower curtain and run it on the rod against the back and side wall. This is just a precaution to make sure and keep all water off the wallpaper and trim.

So, most of our hooks along the track hold at least two shower curtains.

I think this is an inexpensive way to handle the "duck" issue.
