Help identify new HI-Low

So I picked up a used HI-Low and have no idea what model number it is. All I was told was that it was a Hi-Low 2292 (IE 22' long built in 1992). Not sure if this this is a towlite or funchaser or?

The manual shows it as a HTL2875T or HTL2875C cant remember.

Any help would be appreciated.

Identifying a HiLo

!00% sure it is a 2292 Classic. 22ft. 1992 Classic heavier wt. What is your tow vehicle? You should be sure you can tow this weight. Welcome to the forum. Your HiLo looks in good condition. I hope you get much enjoyment from it. Be sure to read back posts for preventive maintenance items. We are here to help you with questions. Just ask.

We'll I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline and it seems to pull it without any issues. Or at least from the place I bought it to the house it was okay. The only mod I plan to make on the Ridgeline is to add an electronic brake controller.

The original owner stated that the Hi-Low weighed in at 3950 pounds. The Ridgeline and hitch is rated at 5000.

Towing your HiLo

Does your honda ridgeline have the tow package?. It is a must to have a brake controller and a weight distributing hitch.Search the internet for the best price. Can you install it yourself? It is a good idea to weigh your trailer loaded up for a trip and with passengers. What state, city are you from? Your interior is the same color scheme as my 1990 25ft. Classic. My exterior is exactly the same as yours.

We are down here in Florida, and no the Ridgeline does not have the tow package installed. I am going to have it wired up with a new brake controller. Wasn't sure I was going to need the weight distribution hitch.

It's not that you don't have enough power. The factory tow package usually, besides the hitch, includes better engine cooling, and a larger transmission cooler. Without the tow package, you may be exceeding the tow rating of your Ridgeline. It probably won't be a problem on fairly level terrain but trips to the mountains will probably cause problems. Check with your Honda dealer.

Weight distribution hitch

I would recomend 100% that you have a weight distribution hitch. All of the new HTF members are told to use one. It gives you the best towing sway control. We didn't have one the first year of ownership because we didn't know better and didn't realize how much sway we had. It made a huge difference and eliminated the sway.
