Default Hi Lo cost

I found a 1990 22ft. It is excellent condition and super clean. Everything works and has good tires. They are asking $5300. Is this a reasonable price? Thanks. gto57

I'm sure it depends on the area you live in and how hard they are to find, but that seems a bit high for a 1990. We paid $4000 for our first Hi-Lo, five years ago. It was a 1995 22ft in excellent shape, and we paid $4000 for our current Hi-Lo, a 2001 24ft that needs a little work. I think it would be worth about $2500-3500.

Default Welcome to the forum

Could someone post the check list of what to look for in a used unit. I have a 1990 25ft. Classic. We have had to rebuild the walls due to water damage from the windows. Push on the walls both inside and outside. Check the shower wall carefully. Has the seal been changed between the upper and lower half. Climb up on the roof. Any soft spots. Have the propane tanks been updated/regulator. Have the cables been changed or are they showing rust/frays. Have the owner operate the furnace, water heater and refrigerator. Take some pictures and post. Go back and look at the unit a second time if needed. Look inside of cuboards for signs of water damage. Does it have an awning? What is the condition? Any upgrades such as solar panels or led lts.? Where has it been stored? Any receits for repair parts/service? It is hard to say if this is a fair price. Look to the NADA for guidance. Units this old will need repairs and all the major appliances replaced. Appliances cost big $.. I prefer our older unit as it is very sturdy and my DH has been able to do most of the repairs/rebuilding. We didn't know what to look for when we purchased this used from an RV dealer. It was in good shape. The biggest thing you need to do is remove and reseal all windows. If you are handy this may be a good RV for you.

Default Purching a HiLo

We also replaced a zillion screws both interior and exterior with stainless steel screws. If you care to post the state where you live perhaps someone that lives nearby could check this unit out for you. Price is based on condition and availability.

Welcome to the forum. They are still listed in the NADA guide. The guide prices are a little too high but this should get you in the ballpark.
