I know this is an old thread, but back in '02, I was at the factroy in Butler, OH., (just before they moved), checking out their trailers, and the gentleman showing me around said that they were building four 34 foot trailers as a special order. Said the extra 3 feet went into the bedroom layout. Offered to build me one too while they were at it, if I wanted.

I don't know what the longest trailer H-Lo ever built was, but I pretty sure they built some 34 footers.

Just got a 33' given to me. Any input as to what I have gotten myself into. This trailer is huge. Not to bad of shape but needing the cylinder rebuilt.

This we have to see ... please post some pictures of your 33' Hi-Lo for the rest of us! It would be really appreciated.

co-owner

I am Martys brother in law. we co-own the trailer. It is a 1989 model. we will post pics of it when we get it looking better. Jost ordered a new cylinder and head for it. Hope to have it installed Nov 6th. Towing it with a 98 Navigator

Marty you going to post any pics of the trailer that we took?

Interestingly enough, I just acquired a 1989 33 foot HiLo - model 3389B. My dad gave it to me as he just bought a newer, smaller model. Here's a couple of pics. I am learning all I can about it and will be asking quite a few questions in the days and weeks ahead!

Fishermark,

Hah, when you showed that photo, in the other thread, of your A/C cord, I was wondering how long your rig was. WOW...33'...the triple axle was also something I've not seen before.

VERY cool... hope you show us some interior shots sometime.

Thanks,
Jim

Your wish is my command! :)

I like the floor plan - the kitchen and dining room is to the right when you enter the door:

Then to the left is the living room:

On through the living room is the bathroom / shower and then on into the bedroom. My dad took out the original bed and put in a regular queen size bed. Not too much room, but it is comfortable!

Looks like you a ton of storage space/cabinetry. I like the floor plan too. Do you know the gross weight and hitch weight?
Jim

Fishermark 01-01-2011 06:42 PM

According to the sticker on the side of the camper, the GVWR is 8200 lbs. I don't know the tongue weight. I have a weight distributing hitch, but do not have anti sway bars yet. I just towed the trailer home on Christmas day, and it tended to sway at speed. I will be doing some investigating... and posting questions in the towing forum.

Wow! that thing's huge!!
Nice, looks to be in good shape, was your Dad the only owner?

Fishermark 01-07-2011 01:18 PM

Sorry for the delay in answering.... but kn, my dad only owned it for a year or two. It needed some repairs, which he did, but then decided it was just too big to comfortably tow, so he bought a smaller one.
