oven

Hello. The Hi-Lo 2004 Hi-Lo M2204T that I am buying came with a microwave. Has anyone here installed an oven in place of their microwave and if so where would be the best place to find an oven? Thanks in advance.

The oven that you want to install is a stove top/oven combonation. I never seen just an oven. Because the vent for the oven is out the top next to the stove top burners. This was an option from the factory. The same appliance maker of your stovetop make the combo. You'll loose the cabinet space below the stove top. Any rv part house would carring this, maybe even amazon .com . Options? costco sells a free standing stove/oven combo made by coleman that uses small propane bottles for fuel.

oven options

What came to my mind is a toaster oven. This would be cost effective.

Our past and current HiLo's have had the microwaves beneath the stovetop. The wife prefers using her toaster oven to bake in. If mama is happy, everybody is happy! :-)

A toaster oven sounds like a good idea. That or maybe a small convection type.

Thanks for the input.

oven

I'm thinking small inside trailer space.. Oven would only be used in winter way up North, of course that's just a Florida boy's thoughts.
Toaster oven sounds better. Down here there is just to much heat as it is.

This also depends on the type of camping and cooking that you do. My wife and I dry-camp most of the time and she likes to cook in an oven. This means that a toaster oven or microwave are out. When we were looking for a Hi-Lo it had to have a propane oven or the price had to allow for the purchase and installation of a stove/oven range.

the most bestest cooked type

is over charcoal. The second mostest is grilling with propane.
Howz my eNglish?

Now beyond that - a toaster oven sounds like a reasonable alternative (small, cheap, portable).

My thoughts exactly. I will actually be using the camper around Sebring, Fl. I was thinking that if I wanted to use an oven I could get a portable and just plug it up outside the camper in order to keep the heat to a minimum on the inside.

getting a oven

One advantage to cooking at home and then just reheating is not putting heat and moisture in the trailer. You could use a coleman stove that works on propane outside on the picnic table.
