Default To purchase or not!

Would like to purchase a Hi-lo but with no place for repairs or parts what is a person to do when the need arises?

If you read earlier posts on this site, you will see that you can get parts from J&R Repair in Butler, Ohio. They also do repair work. There are still HiLo dealers (don't know for how long) available to get parts and service from. Any rv service center can do regular repairs - brakes, bearings, electrical, etc.

I bought my 2693rd this summer with the same question. The trailer is very solid and I loved the trailer so I pulled the trigger.

Shortly after J&R Trailer Repair came on the seen. I have bought parts off of them for my own repairs, Rob gave me some pointers on the job along with a very pleasant purchasing experience. They are experienced in HiLo trailer repair and can handle any job that will ever need done on the trailer.

There is also a wealth of knowledge on this site as well as kind and friendly people to guide you in minor repairs.
Also, I recall reading of a man who still uses his 67 HiLo. Now that's a great track record.

If you like the trailer buy with confidence, I did.

Cool

Don't let the closing of Hi-Lo determine your decision not to purchase a Hi-Lo. The trailers are built well and tow great. I tow a 21ft. with Toyota V-6 tacoma and get 16 mpg. Parts are still available through different suppliers. I'm kind of a fix-it myself person, if isn't available, I'll fabircate it. Thanks to this forum, you shouldn't have a problem getting questions answered or help on doing your own repairs.

My only concern in this area are things like the molded "end caps" for the trailer. These things seem pretty "specific" and I doubt you're going to find them at your local RV repair depot.

Most of the other parts can be worked up out of existing materials. And, most of the mechanical parts are off the shelf (except possibly the guide rod and maybe the pulleys).
