Is there a list of Hi-Lo maintenance items?

I just read through a thread where someone's cable broke and it was mentioned that the cables have to be periodically lubed. The same thread mentioned brushing out an area near the heater. I think I have seen somewhere else caulking maintenance and, I am just guessing here, but I imagine there is some maintenance for the toilet system and many other things. I have found some great lists on here that people have compiled for various things; what to look for when buying, what to do before lowering, etc.

Is there a list of the routine maintenance that has to be done on a Hi-Lo?

Thank you,
Cheryl

This is a good place to look on the Forum:Reference Library - Hi-Lo camper travel trailer forum

The reference library covers much of the subjects, including maintenance. The lift system maintenance is vitally important and unfortunately it quite often gets overlooked. If you don't keep the pulleys and cables cleaned and lubed you will end up with frayed rusted and broken cables. The guide rod needs cleaned and lubed to prevent bending the hydraulic lift cylinder.

Take some time and read through the subjects in the library. And always ask questions on the forum.

Also, look on the main menu page for the maintenance and repair section.

Videos on YouTube

You may want to watch the videos that were put on YouTube.

They are shown in this post, just scroll down to where they are listed. It was taken from a DVD that HiLo furnished with new trailers starting in about 2005. It covers most subjects. https://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f49/...-youtube-1233/

Maintenance of HiLo

You could join a HiLo Club if there is one near you or in your state. We've learned so much from our club members. It is so much easier for some one to go over maintenance items while you are at your Rv. We have owned our HiLo for 10 years and went from A popup to the HILo. Never to old to learn something new.

I would love that. That would be great. I looked on the list of clubs on here and I didn't see one in my area - Southern/Central California. Hmmm.... maybe I will have to start one... :)
