1992 Hi Lo model help

On eBay, there is a just listed 1992 Hi Lo 20 foot camper. I checked the library on this forum, but the earliest brochure is 1993. It doesn't mention a 20' model.

What models did HiLo make in 1992? Did the high end model (Classic) have Hi Lo decal on the side, while a Fun Lite had Fun Lite decal on the side, and the entry level model at the time have Tow Lite on the side?

Very little model information is given in the ad. The seller does say it's 65" in the tow (down) position. He also says it's 20' long. He was asked the weights of the trailer. He said EVW = 2,890#, GVWR = 4,000#, and Tongue weight = 325#.

It also has the aerodynamic fiberglass cap on the front.

It looks very similar, including the big Hi Lo name on the side, to the one pictured on the 1993 brochure.

Assuming for a moment this is the high end HiLo model that has the steel frame, what other issues should one look out for on a HiLo that old? How does one tell if the walls are damaged from water leaks. Is it simply a matter of looking at the underside flooring to make sure it isn't water damaged? And of course, there's always the lift system to be concerned about in an older trailer.

The seller says it was stored inside, and he's selling because he bought a larger RV.

It has a Buy It Now price of $4,000.

The NADA does not have a 20' model listed. You have to go by the model name and number:

1992 Hi Lo Prices, Values & Specs - NADAguides

https://www.nadaguides.com/RVs/1992/Tow-Lite

Once you determine the model go back to the NADA guide and add what options you think are on it to get a price.

Buying a used HiLo

If you go to see this HiLo It maybe a good idea to see it twice. Make sure your tow vehicle can tow it. Very important: this how you tell if it has water dammage. On the outside push on the walls and see if the fiberglass is seperated from the wall. On the inside feel all the walls by pressing on them. Especialy the Br. shower wall, kitchen back splash and every inch of all the walls. Most likely the upper walls will have the water dammage. The reason my Walls in my classic got water dammaged is because we always looked at the exterior caulk and it looked good or we just renewed it. Hope this helps. Have the owner Turn on the Ac/Heat and water heater.
