Beep - Beep

I was out doing some maintenance on my 19" 07 and heard a "beep" from inside. When I crawled inside it was louder, but couldn't ell where it was coming from. It seems to sound about every 20 - 30 seconds. I checked the smoke detectors, but didn't hear anything from them.

Any ideas?

Thanks

sounds like a smoke alarm with battery being low to me.

Did you check the LP gas detector near the floor? When voltage is low, it will beep. I'm able to kill power to this by turning off my main power toggle switch. I had to rewire the LP gas detector, the factory wired this alarm incorrectly on my towlite. Hope this helps.

I agree with jeeper, change the battery in your smoke detector. Only other possibility it could be would be your carbon monoxide detector. It is 12 volt and is hardwired (no battery in the unit). I do believe that they are suppose to be changed out every 5 years or so.

Check the charge of the house batteries.

Could it be the inverter? I had it plugged in to house power for about a month now and the dealer I bought it from said that hurts the inverter?

Thanks for the other suggestions, when we prep the hooch for our Christmas trip I'll check all of them

Beep Beep

I agree with CampThe WestCoast same thing happened with our 2004 31C. It was the LP gas detector near the floor. When voltage is low, it will beep.

All these are good posts, but if the beep goes away when you disconnect shore power, it's the converter in the trailer (that reduces 110V AC to 12V DC. This thing CAN overload (I think maybe it just gets too hot) and will alarm with a beep sound. It happened to me once. After disconnecting the shore power for a while, the problem disappeared and has not returned.

That's a help. After the dealer told me about the overload Sat., I disconnected shore power and it's still beeping. So, it is probably one of the detectors.

Thanks

BEEP - Updated

It turn out there was a CO detector hidden behind the top bunk when it was collapsed. Once I raised it up and saw it, I changed the batteries and beep is all gone now.

Thanks for all your help

What a weird place to put a CO detector! I bet you could remount it in a more accessible place. Ours is over the refrigerator, near the top of the wall.
