duo-therm 600 penguin air con won't turn on

Hi all!

We bought our 2005 tow lite 17 this winter. Now it's hot and we need the air conditioner, but it isn't getting any power. The power center inverter job has a breaker for the air conditioner which is flipped on. I don't see any relevant fuse.

I haven't checked the unit with my volt meter, but won't power on at all, so for now I'm assuming it's just not getting any electric.

Can anyone offer some ideas?

Welcome to the Forum, it's a good place for information. There are several threads here about A/C's not working, and it seems the common thing is that there is a power cord that goes from the bottom half to the top half that needs to be plugged in. Here is the most recent one:

Hope it helps, happy camping!

I would try plugging into a 30 Amp outlet and giving it a try first.

You must plug the AC power cord into the receptacle. My power cord is stored in the bottom of a cabinet in the bedroom. Not sure where yours might be.

Got it

Hey Guys!

I figured it out... Of course it was a silly solution.

The GFCI outlets in my camper have an indicator light that is OFF when in the working position.

This is the opposite to every GFCI outlet I have ever used or installed. So I just reset the outlet and everything is a-ok.

Thanks for giving this dumb guy your attention!

Air conditioning question.

Welcome to the forum. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. Glad your solution is simple. Some of us have been around for years and have been in new situations that we have to figure out. We always help each other.
