Electric problem

I have a 1996 26 foot HiLo travel trailer. The problem I have recently encoutered is electrical current on the bumper and frame of the unit when it is plugged into 20 amp plug on my garage. I use a Pyramid Amprobe to detect AC current and I can get an indoication within 6" of the unit. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should be looking for?

Is it possible your 20-Amp garage plug is wired incorrectly? (Black and White wires reversed?). I can't imagine a short to ground in the trailer that wouldn't blow a fuse or pop a circuit breaker.

Jack is correct and also make sure the garage outlet has the safety ground connected. Green wire to center terminal.

110v problem

check your adaptor plug between your camper cord and the outlet, mine was melted inside and you could not tell by looking at it
