Following up on Old Threads
 

I've been trying to follow up on some old threads where people have already developed some solutions to problems I am just encountering. But I am running into a lot of difficulty contacting the original posters. Perhaps, like me, they only check the HTF site when they need help or have something to offer.
After that experience, I made two changes to my user profile that would make it easier for follow-up contact by others, still protect my privacy, and I could still just check the HTF site when I needed to. My two changes:
* allow Personal Messages
* allow e-mail notification when you have a PM.
I would highly recommend that other HTF users make these changes. They would make it easier for newcomers to follow-up on ideas which maybe be older, but still valid and useful.

That's an excellent suggestion. I get notified of any messages via email, which really helps. Many times I never think to look at the upper right hand corner where it says notifications.
