furnace hose

was looking at my trailer of about 7 days. lifted up seat under table & found lots of tire shreds, broken metal around tire, destroyed furnace hose. rather then tear trailer apart to replace hose I'd like to just patch the furnace hose. anyone know of something to replace about a foot of hose?

Sounds like someone had a tire blowout. Happened to my son a few years ago in our older hi-lo. What a mess it was. It ruined fridge gas line and furnace hose and a water line which all had to be replaced. Now he has tire sensors (Tire Minders) on all four tires.

Sounds like its the heat duct, alumium covered vinyl duct(used for dryer venting) works well.

If your looking just replace 1ft. of hose, use 4" round sheetmetal pipe (used for venting water heaters) and duct tape to seal joints.

Been there and done that. Had a blowout and it wiped out my hot & cold water lines to the kitchen sink, heat ducts, and electrical wiring. Went to Home Depot and bought the flexible foil dryer vent duct. It is relatively inexpensive.

Replacing the heating duct

I second the motion. Replace with what is suggested at Home Depot. Very inespensive. It will be at my trailer tomorrow and will take a picture for you.

furnace hose

started repairs. will be re screwing inside tire panel, & then caulk, caulk, caulk. have to jack up & take tire off. have tried with no success to get 4" metal tube in hose. will spray soapy water to see if that works. slow going for a 70 yr old, but i'm not giving up. i'm too cheap (poor) to send it out.

crimp the metal sleeve on the ends to make it a little smaller for the hose to slip on, then duct tape the joint to seal. If you don't have a crimping tool, cut a slice into the sleeve and squeeze the end with your hands or large hose clamp to make it a hair smaller than the heater hose/duct.
