Default Gasket material

I have a 1971 model and doing a total restoration. I was able to reuse some parts and pieces, even fabricating some, but no luck in the gasket between upper and lower sections. It also has a plastic capping that goes along the top of the bottom wall. Any ideas on where to find either of these materials?

Did you find the gasket? I'm considering a 1971 and wondered about parts availability.

Default Parts for 1971 HiLo

Could you post a picture of the plastic strip that you are looking for. Possible sources for the seal. Web site..Extrusions epm.com Try this EPDM P bulb seal company-McMaster Carr. My seal that we replaced was 3/4 hollow p bulb seal with a 1" stem. Cheaper from these companies than J&R or Midget. My unit is a 1990 25ft Classic. Several of our members have replaced our seals. A few back posts on seal replacement. A DIY job if you want to tackle this.
