Default Heater won't turn on

Hi! I have a 2008 1508T Hi Lo. It was supplied with an Atwood Hydro Flame furnace (I think Model 7900). In the Hi Lo owner's manual, it simply says that the furnace runs on DC current and to simply open up the gas supply, turn the thermostat to "on", turn up the temperature, and the furnace will ignite automatically. I'm having no success with this. The only accompanying paperwork for the furnace are installation instructions. Can someone please help me out?!
Thanks, Jerry

I will try to help you. I am not a technical person. You tube should have a tutorial on how to trouble shoot a furnice. You would need a fully charged battery. You could unhook the thermostat and use a volt meter to see if you have power at the wires. I hated the thermostat that came with the HiLo. DH replaced it with a thermostat from Walmart. One time our furnice didn't work. DH called our HiLo dealer for advice. Something in the furnice had to be adjusted so the flame would light up. DH also replaced the regulator and propane hoses. The furnice never gave us any trouble after the adjustment.

I am currently on the second HiLo 22 footer that I have owned and in both cases, when I first got each one I had to immediately replace the wall thermostat at a cost of $20 each time. Simple two wire replacement and both times the furnace fired right up. After camper has set up and has not been used for some time I always light the kitchen stove top before firing furnace to insure that propane is flowing through the line. The propane furnace will not fire if propane pressure is not at the heating unit.

Is the switch turned on-our switch was inside the vent. I believe you had to remove 2 screws on the vent to get to it. We put our HiLo away at the end of the season exactly how it was delivered.
