how to realese a awing from a 1989 hi-lo camper awing is a capri brand it want release or something thanks

How long since it was out last?
I just picked up a 85 with the Capri II 14 foot awning and we really had to fight to get out. One thing that wasn't helping is that the HiLo top is not raising all the way up by 1-1/2 to 2 inches and so awning vertical arm does not lock and support the top assembly as needed to start bringing awning out of case.
It is a very tight fit in that case, so will take some extra (careful) tugging to get it started,

probaly a few years try putting fluid for high low had to do mine to get it to raise to release to go down
