Hi Lo keys and locks

Question...so the keys I got with my Hi Lo work with the front door and all storage compartments, albeit, the storage locks are very sticky. But they do not work for the freshwater tank and exterior shower doors...are they supposed to be keyed differently? Just curious. Probably gonna replace all those style locks anyway for smooth operation. Already lost a key to a storage lock...

I think all of the original storage locks were all keyed alike, and that would be for any model. My storage lock keys would probably fit your storage locks. I say this because I had picked up a new storage door from Midget in Ohio and did not get a key for the new door, but the key I had would work on the new door.:D

Sure, but my question is, the keys do not work with the freshwater tank and outside shower door...Am I supposed to have another key?

Should be all the same key # 751CH
The entry door will be different

Somebody could have replaced some of the locks in the pass

amountaincreeker 07-18-2018 02:20 PM

Yeah I'm thinking maybe that's the case...The same key works for the entry door and all storage locks but not the freshwater tank and exterior shower doors...

Keys

We have a 2010 ClassicThere are three keys; one fits the entry door, one fits the fresh water door, and the third fits the storage door and the shower door.

Locks and keys

Don't give up on the locks just yet. Go to a locksmith place and purchase Tri Flow. It is a superior lubricant with Teflon. It penetrates and protects. Not cheap but top of the line. Some have used WD40. Can someone post a picture of the water door and outside shower key? We only have the water door key.

Our 2310H had a two sided key for the door only, a 751CH key for both the water door and shower which is generic, and a unique key for the shore power cord compartment.

My 2001 had two keys for the outside compartment doors. One key opened the "white doors" and the other key opened the "dark doors" that were located in the skirting areas. The entry door had a seperate key all its own.

Interesting...I'm lead to believe that I am missing a key then...Guess I will replace all the locks then. Storage ones are junk anyway. I broke into the freshwater door with very minimal damage but the outside shower...thinking I'll just drill them out. THANKS GUYS!

The water and shower doors are generic and any rv dealer is likely to have one. I lost mine in Georgia a few years back and was thinking the worse until I pulled into an rv dealer and he walked in the office and got me two new ones. I'd do that before I replaced the locks. Cost me like $5.

I have a total of FIVE keys. I'm sure over the years those locks have been changed. You can get a set a "keyed alike" locks, however, the body of the locks are different lengths. Best to work with a locksmith (a bit more costly), but they will have what you need. Keep in mind-- these "cabinet locks" are use everywhere. The compartments on my daughters fifth wheeler in GA can be opened with my keys, we've done it. There are cipher locks available for the door. $$

Keys

3 separate keys for us: trimark for front door, silver CH751 for water, outside shower and trunk storage, and gold HL345 for outside/basement storage. I use graphite on our locks and have never had an issue.

Thanks for the info on the keys! I ordered up a set of the 751CH and that's what I was missing! Now to replace the junk rusty storage door locks...
