Default Hitch ball size for 2008 1508T

My wife and I just purchased our first trailer - a great 1508 T HiLo. The previous owner said that it required a 2" hitch ball, which we had, but when towing it home, there was quite a bit of "chugging" when starting from a stopped position. Our owner's manual is for a 2008; in it, it states that the proper ball size for a 2006 is 2-5/16" (no mention of 2008 ball size). Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks, Jerry

Welcome to the Forum!

The proper size is 2-5/16". Do not use the 2" ball unless you want to risk having the trailer jump off the ball should you hit a big bump.
