im new.

hi there! we've graduated from a tent trailer, and just bought a 1995 23' hilo in excellent condition. Bought it from an older guy that hardly used it. I only paid $2900, and think that was a deal. Even had new tires, battery and full propane! We've already used it twice. Im glad I found this forum and look forward to learning from your wealth of knowledge!

Welcome to Hi-Lo and to the Hi-Lo Forum. I hope you enjoy your "new" toy. Hi-Lo trailers have personalities separate from many other travel trailers, they stand apart from the rest of the crowd. When you go traveling you will find many curious onlookers wanting to know about how your trailer works. In many parts of the country Hi-Lo is a seldom seen item.

Stay tuned to the forum and don't be afraid to ask questions. You will need to know about doing proper maintenance on the lift system and what to look for with any problems that may arise. There are many well experienced Forum members here that can help. Browse through all the categories and you will see that most everything to do with Hi-Lo trailers has been covered.

Rich :)

Welcome to the forum

Petensadie, welcome to the forum. Is you HiLo a Towlite or Classic? Glad to hear you got to camp a couple of times already. What is your tow vehicle? Spend some time going throught old posts.so you will know how to do the necessary maintenance. We also went from a popup to a 25ft Classic. We Thought we "died and went to heaven" Spoiled brats, you just open the door and go in..Still think our HI Lo is the next best thing after sliced bread.!! sam

wow

Wow, thznks for all the greetings! It is a TOWLITE. Is that good or bad? Ive spent a bunch of time reading through the site already. Super fun! The gentleman I got it from had a huge file containing all the original manuals for all the appliances and systems, recepts, etc. Always a good sign, IMO. It really does feel like a palace, compared to the tent trailer!

Please take some time and crawl up on the roof and look for any possible spots that may allow water to get in. That is your biggest enemy. Check all of the seams in the roof, around vents, etc. If there is any cracking, get those spots sealed ASAP before any water damage can occur. There is allot of information here about caulking. Do a search for it, as to what type, etc.

I think you got a great deal. I bought a 1995 21' Towlite 4 years ago for $4000 and I love it. Very well built with quality appliances.

great price, I got mine from a person that no longer camped for 350.00
