In Love....but YIKES

Hi all,

My husband and I purchased a 25' 97 Voyager Hi Lo yesterday. Bottome half is in good condition, but top half is sad. Ceiling and sides are rotted out, both ends are ok. My dh is a carpenter by trade for the last 40 yrs. Has everything (so he says) figured out except how to attach the bottom rail of top half to fiberglass shell. I have been reading for a week and have not found anything that explains that part. He can't take the top half "off" because he has no help. I am disabled and I am limited on what I can do. I fully foresee this camper being even more beautiful than when it came off showroom floor. I'm sure I will be back, asking for help.

How about a couple of pictures every now and then to help us out with the visual on this? And be sure to keep us up on the progress! thanks;)

Call Midget Trailer in Ohio, 419-886-0008. They might be able to give you some ideas as they do deal with Hi Lo repairs and parts.

Breaking HiLo apart for repairs

3-3-2010 is a post oncable replacement in my 1998 HiLo 24TD. Page 3 shows 2x4 in place for jacking the trailer apart. Welcome to the forum. It is very common for the upper walls to rot away. The reason is because of ceiling leaks and window leaks. All your windows need to be taken out and resealed/recaulked. Keep the questions coming as many of us have had to do extensive repairs.
