Mirrors
 

When I first started pulling my Hi-Lo, I went through several sets of mirrors before I hit a home run! I now have and would recommend the McKesh strap on mirrors by Hensley. Make sure you also get the small convex mirrors as they really make a difference. The other thing I did was to have my wife drive her car along the side of me (going slow) just so I could get a feeling of how vehicles showed up in the mirrors at different locations as they went by (did this for both sides). Between the Durango's mirror and the Hensley's (makes for 3 mirrors on each side) there is really no spot where another vehicle will not show up in one of them.

McKesh Mirrors

I bought a pair of "slip over" mirror's, I don't remember the brand. I call them slip over because they slip over my existing mirrors.

They're easy to knock out of adjustment, but they worked well enough when we camped with a pop up, but now that we have the Hi-Lo :) , which is wider and longer then the pop up, we're going to have to buy some better mirrors.

I've looked at the McKesh and they look great. I've heard nothing but good things about them, so we're thinking about trying them.

skmwalden, do you have any vibration problems with them?

I had a pair of the "slip on" ones at one time too ... but wound up selling them on ebay!!

As to vibration problems, I have not experienced any. Once in a while the straps will "flutter" but I just crank them tight one notch and that clears that up. The actual mirrors are very stable.

McKesh work well
 

We use the McKesh too, and they work better than any other add-ons we've tried over the years.

One thing to watch out for - the straps do stretch a bit in the rain (that is, unless they've changed fabric in the newer models). Just remember to check them and maybe snug them up a bit if driving in extended rain.
