Need Information on 22' 1996 Hi-Lo Classic

Sadly I am about to sell my darling Hi-Lo, and cannot find a copy of the manual anywhere......... I need to know the exact weight, tow weight and tongue weight so I can be honest about the facts regarding my trailer. Fifteen years, and there is not one SPOT on the beautiful light beige upholstery ! It has truly been loved and taken care of, though it took two men to help me unload about 1,500 lbs of STUFF (mostly PINK of course) from all the NOOKS and CRANNIES ! Today it is virtually as I bought it new.............. Totally EMPTY !

If any of you have a manual or know how I can download a copy, I would soooooo appreciate it ! I had the original video of the Hi-Lo in my hands two weeks ago, but think it may have ended up at the Goodwill !!

Thanks for your help !!

Sadly enough the weight information given back in those years was not always correct. I have a 95 HI-LO Tow Lite 21 ft. I had it weighted and it was 3400 lbs. empty, manual says 2640 + accessories, with fresh water tank full and propane tanks full and our stuff loaded it was about 3800 lbs.
Classic models are heavier, hope this helps some, I would guess that it is around 3800 empty. I also have 2209 Tow lite which weights 3800 lbs. empty.

Thanks for your answer !!

I have a member of my Car Club (Chevy SSR) who wants my Hi-Lo to tow from Seattle to Arizona so he and his wife don't have to stay in the dirty, flea-bag motels along I-5 ------ He does have the big Corvette Engine and insists he can do it......... Maybe he can - Me, I had my Hi-Lo so stuffed - probably with more than 1500 lbs of "necessary items" - One never knows what might be needed, you know !!!

He should check the tow ratting of the Chevy SSR. At about 4,000 lbs. of trailer, and a hitch weight of about 480 lbs. His chevy needs at least a tow rating of 4500 lbs for a rather easy tow.

Just looked up the tow rating of a Chevy SSR and it is about a 1000 lbs or more under the weight of your trailer. Regardless of engine. The tongue weight is also over the rating of the SSR.
I have a Bronco II with a FI V8 in it and even though it has enough power to pull my trailers, I would not dream of doing it.

I based the SSR information on the standard hitch. If it is fitted with a Class 3 hitch with WD and sway control it should then be capable, V8 version.
Also needs a Brake Controller

Sue's Hitch..........

The hitch I have is equipped with leveling bars, and a stabilizer bar....... the
tow vehicles I've had - '99 Chevy Tahoe and H2 HUMMER don't even know anything is attached to them !!!!

I worry that my friend is getting himself into danger........ I appreciate your information and I will pass everything on to him. I'm not sure how I can abide with this big of an unknown -

Thank you for your information....... I appreciate finding someone with knowledge to share with me !!!

Sue
