New owner has has questions.
I posted on here earlier and decided to buy a 1993 hi-lo. It is model 2693br. I have a few questions because the previous owner was not sure:
1) how do you know when the hot water heater is full? 2) How do you know when the hot water pilot light is lit? 3) What kind of maintenance should I do to the lift system? 4) How do you "seal" the roof? 5) If you do not have wtaer hookup, how do you use the portable water system? Any advice from you experienced people would be appreciated. |

#2 Is your water heater a DSI (lights via a switch?) or manual light? If it's a manual light, you will be able to see the pilot. I'll let someone who is more familiar with those explain the process. #3 Under the trailer, grease the guide rod and spray WD40 on the cables. Use a dry lubricant or parrafin wax on the guide bars on the side of the trailer. If using a spray on dry lube, make sure it's clear as the dry graphite will look like black spray paint. |
A 93 model water heater probably has to have the pilot light manually lite.

My '95 has a manual pilot light on the water heater and fridge and a peizoelectric on the furnace.
You really should go to the excellent reference library on this forum. I checked at the manuals for my appliances are there. The actual manual will give you the exact methods. |
Thanks for all the tips. Everything works great so far. The only thing I have not gotten an answer from an experienced owner is what people recommend for sealing the roof. Any recommendations?

sealing roof
Depends on what type of a roof you have.
