New to forum & New to hilo campers

hello to all ..
i would like to start by saying so far this forum /site is awesome , im glad to have found it .. yes im a noobie .lol i hope to find it very useful .

Anyway , i just bought a hilo camper to take with me to all the diffrent bike events that i go to .. he is looking for the title for he said he hasnt seen it in yrs.. but anyway he said it was a 1969 hilo , this thing is in awesome shape ! well to me it is .
i have looked at alot of campers and have seen some really ruff ones out there ! besides some really ugly fabric on the inside ..lol
everything else is there , and seems to be in working condition !!
it has no dents , no leaks , no soft spots , nothing !
everything seems to orignial and not redone it recent years .. i was told that 69 did not come out with automatic pop up , until 73 ?
so im not sure .. any kind of info on this would really be needed .
also would like to know ANY kind of info on this thing really , the does and dont's ... any kind of manuals that i might need info on , i would like also ..
im gonna start tinkering with this thing tomm or sunday , just to try and learn more about it and all that it has to offer ..

Just wanted welcome you to the forum. Several of our forum members have had 69 yr. hiLo's. A few still have them in use. We will try and answer questions you may have. Have fun getting to know your HiLo.!!

Check the Reference Library, lots of information there. Don't know what you mean by automatic pop up?

Harley,

As suggested by PopRichie, go to the the HTF Reference Library. There you will find the Owners Manual for a 1969 Bon Voyage model.

If by auto pop-up you mean a hydraulic power lift system (vice a crank-up manual system), I can assure you that the 1969 Bon Voyage models came from the factory with hydraulic lift either as standard equipment, or as an option. Can't speak for any other models from that year.

Again not sure what you mean, can you post a picture? There were no high, Hi-Lo s all go up for living and down for towing.

"Is there such a model as a high 69 hilo travler ??? it is a 18 ft also"

Owning any 1969 Hi-Lo is a natural "high!"

But seriously, in the 1969 sales brochure, in addition to model numbers, Hi-Lo models were also given names, like "Traveler", or "Bon Voyage." In that model year the Bon Voyage was Hi-Lo's top of the line model and was 19' long (measuring from ball socket to rear bumper). Going from memory (the 1969 brochure is stored in our Hi-Lo for the winter), I'm fairly certain the Traveler was the next size down.

LOL, that is defiantly a Hi-Lo Trailer, It also has the Hi-Lo decal on the top section. just don't tow it in the up position, the cables can't take it and will break. Looks good for it's age. I believe it has been repainted.
