Our New to Us 1965 Hi-Lo Voyager

My girlfriend and I just purchased a one owner 1965 Hi-Lo voyager. We are super excited to resurrect her and enjoy many trips with her. I'm sure we will need plenty of help in the near future with Hi-Lo questions. We had to throw some new wheels and tires on along with new trailer lights to get her home. Here are a few pics of her picking her up and then after a bath.

Not in bad shape for it's age. I like all the natural wood on the inside. Hope you keep it like that instead of covering it all with paint. I'm sure that's real wood and not the laminate stuff later years had. Good luck with your project! Keep us posted and welcome to the forum.

Yeah its real wood and we like it as well. It will be staying with a little splash of color on a cabinet or two. Thanks!

We have made a little progress in painting the top half of the camper.

Looks great! What method are you using to paint? I'm getting closer to doing mine

Just sanded down a little bit and using rustoleum paint and primer in one. It's not show quality but looks pretty good

did you use a roller or just a paint brush?

randyhutch 09-10-2014 02:27 PM

I used a spray can, 2 coats.

I like it! I'm about to start painting my graphics back on on mine using close to the same color scheme. Minus the aluminum that is. Looking good!

We made more progress this weekend. Still need to put the clear coat on and paint the trailer frame. Also need to run trailer lights inside the frame and put on new brake away chains.
