pinholes

I'm looking for information on the pinhole problem that plaques the newer HiLo trailers. I've read its cause is the lack of insulation between two dissimular metals used on the roofs. My question is how bad does the problem get? I've read it only happens on the back few feet of the trailer another said it only happened on an area two feet from the edge. I've covered the roof with a product similar to Kool-Seal but I'm seeing a few blisters appearing and I'm thinking that this didn't solve the problem. If this problem doesn't happen over the entire roof couldn't I cover the bad areas with eternabond tape? I know taking the roof off and replacing it would fix but the cost would be half the value of the trailer. Any help? Thanks

No idea how bad the problem can grow, it depends on the isulation of the two different metals. The covering the outside of the roof with Kool-Seal is a bandaid and you could use eternabond tape on the worst areas. This would be regular maintance on your trailer at low cost so you could enjoy the hi-lo. How handy are you? I would try to replace the roof covering yourself to save some money.
