Potable Water Level
I'm getting ready to clean/sanitize my fresh water tank and all cleaning directions I read tell me to fill the tank...Ok...I'm almost afraid to ask but...how do you know when the tank is full? I thought maybe leaving the water pump turned off and leaving the faucets turned on while filling but I thought I'd better ask all my new HI-LO veterans first.

The water gauge will indicate full before it actually is. As Jim said, when water starts backflowing out of the fresh water fill valve (don't use the city water hose hookup point), it's full.

Thanks for the info. I see the overflow hole....but i haven't seen any guages inside the trailer yet. I'll keep looking. I plan on tweaking the Hi-Lo all day today. This Discussion forum has been priceless!

Only newer HI-LOs came with gauges, it may have been an option in older classic models, what year and model is yours?
