Rail Lubrication?

I was just wondering if I am supposed to lubricate the rails that the HiLo rides on when raising and lowering. I have never used anything on the rails and I wasn't sure if I should be lubricating them. I was thinking maybe silicon spray or something like that if it is necessary.

Anyway, I have a 1990 27' Bon Voyage. I have had her about 5 years and she's getting kind of old so I thought I should do all I can to help her raise and lower.

Any advise is appreciated!

I think JR Repair recommended paraffin wax, that's what I use. Just rub it on.

Lubricating outside rails

If you don'thave parafin then use silicon spray. It will stop the squeeks.

I use Triflow to lube cables, pulleys, guide rails, hinges....
