Replacement Latch for TipOut Cover

When we purchased our HiLo, the tip-out cover did not have latches to keep it down. It has a strap going across it holding it down (not good!). Can someone suggest a good replacement for the original latches? Thanks!

I believe this fabric strap with plastic latch is the original design, with 2 latches on the tip out door. When we bought out RV a couple of years ago the 'teeth' on one of the plastic latches were worn and that latch would not secure the strap to my satisfaction. I ordered a set of replacements from J & R in Mt. Vernon, OH and they are working fine. I suspect you could order a new set from them. I used a rivet gun to attach the replacement latches.

Good luck!

I though I read a post J & R no longer had parts. If so, Midget Trailer in Bellville, Ohio had them in stock when I ordered them.:)

We still have the original plastic straps and latches. I was more concerned with security as anyone could open the door. I put a hasp type latch on one side and use a keyed lock so only I could open Tip-Out door. I suppose a latch could be used on the opposite side to secure that side.
