report on j&r repair

Went to j&r repair with my 88 22l. my cables were broke on the door side, in turn, when I brought it in the shop(J&R) they replaced my cables, then thuroughly looked at every component on and in my trailer, gave me what I thought was more than a fair price to go over everything that was bad, either rotted wood, bad seals, anything that was bad and replaceing the whole street side wall.
When I purchased this trailer a month ago, I was in too much of a hurry to really examine , and also didn't have enough knowlege for what to look for in a used hi-lo. Since my meeting with rob and jim (owners of J&R) they have led me to belive there are really great people out there that arn't out there for a buck, but really do care about people and how you are treated.
there operation is small compared to some repair facilities, but their knowlege is huge, something you don't see in most businesses today. Kudos to jim and rob, they ARE the HI-lo gods!

P.S Did I add that that they have leagally purchased the inventory from the bankrupt hi-lo corp?

I agree with you 100% I was there last month.

Robobd,
I agree with you 110%. Both Rob & Jim are great guys and very helpful. We made a trip to J&R in Oct. 2010. Have friends making a trip there in May.

Amen to all of the above. Rob & Jim are very knowledgeable and personable. They treat you like family. When it comes to repairs, they do the job right.

Adding my two cents...

Rob's quick responses to my E-mails are impressive! He even asked about my broken leg!

I took a long shot and asked if they had any T-molding for the counter top edges in our 2704T. After E-mailing a photo, much to my surprise, he reported that they had some of that style and shipped it that same day. That's what I call service.

Its one thing to be friendly and nice and service oriented when a customer is standing in front of you... but to treat an E-mail customer equally as well... is as I said at the beginning, impressive!

Jim

When they get their website up and running, some of the testimonials posted here should be sent to them.

Oops, their website is up and running, I had the old website bookmarked.

Email your comments to them, I'm sure they will appreciate it.

I agree. Been very impressed with Rob and Jim. Fortunately, we have the skills to have rebuilt our own hi li that we recently purchased, but have used J&R for achieving parts. I cannot say enough nice things about them either.
