Default Resealing 2004 22T Roof

I purchased a 2004 HI lo 22T tow lite camper last spring. I would like to reseal my roof, just to be safe. Can anyone tell me if it's a rubber or aluminum roof?

What products do you recommend I use to reseal the roof and re-caulk around the roof vents. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Ken

Reseal the trailer, I have had good luck with sikaflex 1a Your roof is aluminum Remove all the old caulking first I had used other brands but did not have good luck because the UV sunlight broke down the caulking quickly If it is hard to find in your area, amazon sells it

Hi Raiderboy,

When I owned my class C motorhome, the Lazy Daze factory only recommended Parlastic to reseal the roof which is a one-piece aluminum roof. Although both manufacturers use an aluminum roof, Lazy Daze uses a smooth aircraft grade aluminum while Hi-Lo has a rougher finish. Not sure if Parlastic is the best sealer for Hi-Lo but here is the spec sheet:

http://www.parrtechllc.com/Datasheets/PARLASTIC.pdf

I think resealing the roof is something we'll all need to do eventually so I'm interested in hearing from other owners on what they have had success with.

BTW, Go Chargers!

The aluminum roof has a pebble finish with seams and the rubber roof is smooth with no seams. You have to get the proper sealant to match the type of roof you have.
