Default Stabilizer jacks for 1701RK

Hi! We bought a 2001 hi-lo and are needing to replace the cone stabilizer jacks in the front. Could we put scissor jacks? Has anyone else tried this? Any and all advice is appreciated!

Slippery, my trailer came with scissor jacks at the front and back. I don't see why you couldn't retrofit them on your trailer. etrailer.com has scissor jacks that should work.

I put these on ours. I had to cut the old ones off because they were welded to the frame. I used stainless self tapping bolts to hold them in place. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up sure you can

I went one even farther and had Lippert ground control self stabilizing jacks put on my 31C all the way around. Now all i do is pull up to my spot and unhitch the trailer from the truck and the turn it on and push one button. Then stand back and in a minute or so it does everything to level and stabilize my trailer without having to do the whirling dervish dance of the jacks! And yes, these are not scissor jack that tend to wobble when cranked down but powerstance arm and pad jacks that are self stabilizing (see https://www.camperid.com/lippert/gro...1325bc65e6d1b9 ). I know its a lot of money but the peace of mind that everything is going to be correct is worth the price and you dont have to fool around for a half an hour OR MORE trying to level your trailer after a long days travel!
