Tip out fuse?

My 2408T has no power going to the tip out assist motor. I have looked in the fuse box on the dinette bench seat front and see no fuse indicated. Anyone know if there is a fuse for this motor.

Rex, I don't have a tip out, so I can't point you to a specific fuse. However, I'm certain it has one.

I'd pull each of the fuses in your fuse panel and test each one with a continuity meter (one setting in a standard, inexpensive multimeter). If they all test good, then you probably have an inline fuse in that circuit. It is liable to be located very close to the tip out motor, probably in the same compartment.

If someone else has a better plan, I'm sure they'll post in your thread.

Good luck.

On my tipout the power comes directly from the battery. There are two of the small cube like circuit breakers hooked in parallel to the positive post. Check to see if the power is getting thru these. Some of these breakers automatically reset after cooling down and others have a small button that you manually press in to reset. These breakers do go bad and can be purchased at any auto parts store. If one has gone bad then I would replace both. If I remember correctly the electrical print also shows a fuse up at the tipout motor but there is not one on mine. Also on tipout motor and drive, there are one or two limit switches that stop the motor in the mid position that are controlled by a plate that moves on a worm gear. If that plate has stripped out it could be stuck in a position that has one of the limit switches in a open position so preventing power to the motor. I have this problem on my tipout, an I am going to order the parts. The company that made the tipout motor and winch system is still in business and if you need their info let me know. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. I will check those possibilities. Rex
