Towing with trailer up
Hi! I'm new to the forum but I've been researching for a few weeks now:) We just bought a 93 hi lo that needs some work. We want to bring it to our house to work on it but it looks like the battery is dead so the top is up. Is it possible to tow it about 10 miles (no faster than 50 mph) with the top up?

Nope! Get or borrow a battery or jump it. Towing in the up position can seriously damage the lift system. You can manually lower it if you can find the valve on the front of the pump. You will need someone to pull the safety catch release cable. If everything is operating properly the top should go down with just jumper cables attached. It only needs to activate the down solenoid valve.

It's better if you have an assistant though! :) |
