Default Trailer-Aid

Just picked up a brand new Trailer-Aid for $10. brand new in box! Now I'm thinking????? Will it work with the torsion axels?? Too lazy to try it, lowering , hooking up, etc. Anyone tried this out on their Hi Lo?

Should work just fine! It's one of two reasons I wish I had tandem axles. The other is that a flat on my single axle can be a bit "interesting", whereas with tandem axles, you can at least move slowly to a safe spot to change the wheel, and with a Trailer Aid it would be super simple.

Thanks Jack, Wasn't quite sure when up on the good tire where would be enough room to remove the flat one. Guess till it happens, I'll carry a jack. Good news is, we head out this week-end for the maiden voyage of our now modified 204U without the "U".

Default Trailer Aid Plus

I purchased the Trailer Aid Plus a few years ago and it works great! I have used it to remove wheels when re-packing the bearings and also used it last summer when I had new tires installed. The tire that is being changed is off the ground about 3 inches. It's compact, light weight and a great investment! The Trailer Aid Plus adds about an inch to the height for just a bit more lift than the Trailer Aid.

Thank You also Jeff, sounds like I made a sound investment. Seller didn't realize he couldn't use it on a single axel. Hope I never HAVE to use it except for maintenance purposes.

I've owned one for quite a few years. It works great. Just remember to loosen the lug nuts on the flat tire first before elevating the good tire.
