Value

I’d like to sell my 2004 24’ Towlite, but since I’m a propane chicken I removed the tanks and just use electricity. I was thinking of asking $5,000 for it, but does the unhooked propane bring the value down more? Everything worked a few years ago when I bought it, but I don’t know if it works now. It had new cables installed at an RV shop and 100 miles on the tires, since it’s been used last, and it’s been stored inside in the winter. No Propane refrigerator or cooktop. Can anyone help me figure out its value?
Thanks!
Kim

Kimmie - no propane would be a deal breaker for me. It would force me to camp in "developed" campgrounds where there are hookups, which I don't like at all. It sounds like you replaced your refrigerator and cooktop for electric ones? There are people, like you, who don't care for propane but I suspect you've narrowed your target buying audience quite a bit. If I had to replace the cooktop and refrigerator, I'd expect to have to pay around $1500 for them. I'd reduce the price I'd pay for your trailer by at least that amount.

Does your trailer still have the furnace and the electric/propane water heater?

The propane copper tubing is still intact. The furnace and water heater are still there and worked when I bought it, but I had no idea how to turn them on before I had the tanks removed and worried I would blow my camper up. I should have bought a tent.

if it was me i would have a certified mechanic and have him hook all back up and test it all for working then try sell it. lots of people do like to go to state parks and you mostly do not have full hook ups there. Also with the gas small spiders build webs in the lines and the parts needs to be cleaned to make work.
