Jacking point
 

My HiLo manual says to only jack on the frame. To get my jack this high, I have to use blocks to increase the jack height. Is there any acceptable way to jack on the axle and not risk damage? Thanks.

I do not jack, I use a ramp made specal for changing a tire. You can make one your self with some stacked 2x8's. As long as you have a trailer with double axels you just pull on or back on with the good tire to rase the flat tire.

Thanks for the information. The time I need to jack my camper is usually when I repack bearings or adjust the brakes. I keep hoping for a easier way to do things.

We purchased our Hi-Lo used a number of years ago. A previous owner must have had a flat tire and had to jack up the trailer.

Unfortunately, they didn't read the manual and jack it up at a point of strength, so they permanently bent the frame. So, we have to level the trailer "as closely as we can", but part of the trailer is always out of level. We also end up having trouble with the door. If the front jack is too high, the door won't open, if it is too low the door won't stay closed.

It is rather comical to watch us set up camp. Our friends get out their glasses of wine and lawn chairs for the show.

I know this is an older post and a ling shot. Were you ever able to fix the bent frame? We have recently found out that our frame is bent causing the back half to be out of line. Trying to figure out if we can be saved?!!

I was told it was good for the tires if the camper was propped up and not resting on the tires (during long term non use)?
