193 Hi-Lo 22L Classic Rebuild
11 Attachment(s)
We have been working on the rebuild of our Hi-Lo, "Myrtle". We started the tear down in October 2017 and finished the interior in August 2018.
Thought you might like to see a summary of before - in between - and after pics. |
It looks very nice - I may have missed this but what flooring did you use on it? It’s a nice touch and I’ve always consider a re-do on our 24er
|
We used a vinyl plank that was glued down. It was about 3/16" thick.

Porch plastic light shield on 1990 25ft. Classic.
Stopped by our HiLo dealer today. He pulled out his catalog for after market supplier of the cover we need for our Bargman handle outside light. He ordered a dozen reflectors. For got to ask him the price. I would advise you to get two.as the sun does a number on them. Shipping will be $3.75 1st. class. I will probably just have them shipped to us as it isn't worth 1 and 1/2 hr. road trip. He will call when the parts come in.

Hey Kathleen & Joe.
Nice job on your HiLo! We've also been updating and remodeling our 1983 25 footer (a Voyager 25L). It's been a long journey as we've been completing the project as time and budget allows. Also replaced all the countertops. Flooring we chose was adhesive vinyl planks that looks like hardwood - figured it would hold up better with our dog (and easier to replace if we have any issues with it). We're now ready to reupholster all the seating (jack knife sofa and the multi-cushion odd sized "L" lounge/bed)... did you do your own sewing, buy covers somewhere or just hire someone to create your new cushions? Again, your update looks great! Thanks for sharing and providing some inspiration! -M |

We ordered new cushions from RV and Van Surplus online. It was less expensive than buying the foam and doing it myself. Link: (https://www.rvandvansurplus.com/). After much research we found their pricing to be the best. I ordered an extra 10 yards to upholster our jackknife couch and endcaps. I did the sewing myself. Basically, I took the fabric of the sofa and used the pieces as templates to recreate. We reused the gauze on the back, but did buy new foam and a mattress pad to top it off. I took tons of pictures of the process including the upholstery. Cool part - I used my grandma's 1912 Singer treadle that I restored to see the cover. Hi Kathleen & Joe.
WOW - Awesome pictures of your entire process! We can certainly appreciate all the hard work you put into it! Wish I had taken as many detailed pics as you did! I'll throw my pics together and share them soon. Noticed you cleaned/polished the exterior. I also repainted the exterior from frame to roof, new sport wheels, tires, etc. I'm a product designer, so once we started playing with the resto/update of our HiLo it was hard to stop! Gets lots of 'wows' at the campgrounds - at least those who know what a HiLo is... some have asked us where we bought the "New" camper! I'll definitely consider RV Surplus as we continue restoring our 25L. Thanks again for sharing! -Mike |

Would love to see your pics. Do share soon! Here are a few more before/after pics. Just applied decals today and waxed. DD made the Hi-Lo decal. Rest was a kit we ordered online with colors to match our truck. K |
I need to know where to order one of the porch light covers for my 1990 .
|
I would try Ebay for a starter

Painted the tongue and added great storage
7 Attachment(s)
First time out this season. Had a great time and put Saturday to good use. The weather was perfect to sand the tongue and repaint. We came up with a great idea to convert our tub into better storage, so we went home a day early to build our bathtub dresser. We found shelving that fit perfect, made a base to secure and added baskets. The hanging closet I had been using was too heavy. I cut it in half and put the waste to good use in the tub. I'll use the top half for lighter clothing and store our shoes in the bathtub bin.
I love it when ideas to best utilize space pan out! And it looks great and matches our decor. |
Good job with the upgrades.
We don't use our bath tub/shower. I store some things in it. I put plywood across the tub and use it to set things on. It is a challenge to store clothes for three adults. Nice job on painting the tongue. It shows pride of ownership.

I'm the same, don't shower in the unit. But my two folding bikes fit perfect in the tub!

Like the above members, we haven't showered in the trailer since the first time after we got it. Too difficult! If there's no showers nearby, we just sponge off using the sink.
You've done a beautiful job renovating your trailer! You should be proud of your hard work. - Jack |
Please tell me a bane and number for the individual who helped you
Need to talk with someone or anyone who can tell me if the 1991 2691rd had switches in inside to raise or lower unit and location if it. |
