My new to me 1969 Hi-Lo I picked up on Sunday. Now the fun starts to get it all fixed up. It's in very good shape except for the hail damage on the roof. Inside just needs a fresh coat of paint and maybe new tiles on floor.

Welcome. We have a '69 also but yours is a bit longer. I believe ours is what they called a 189R. Watch out for that water tank - after they are this old they leak or burst so add water carefully and don't over pressurize it. Our hydraulics need an overhaul and hope to get that done this summer. Bought the trailer when our kids were little in the 80s and still have it. We use our HiLo for vintage trailer rallies. Enjoy!

I had one that looked very similar to this except it didn’t have hydraulic lift. There was a large wheel on the front like you see a ship captain use for rudder control in the old movies, and that had a spool to take up the lift cable. It wasn’t hard physically, but it took quite a few turns to go all the way. I sure enjoyed selling that and getting a Funlite with nothing but a button!

Definitely keep the pics coming! If you ever have questions let me know. I have a 69 traveler as well, and I know mine pretty well

This is my progress so far, all the wires were cut by previous owners so no lights work but I am going to install new lights. I haven't done to much on the inside yet except start to strip the old paint. Having the pull down bunk bed was a pain and in the way lol, so I removed it to do the inside but it will be going back in. There was no water damage so it should go pretty good on the inside also.

I forgot to mention that I made my own decals for it, I was able to trace the old outline and see the color under the paint. I also named her Chicken Little lol as I am doing all this by myself.

This will be going above the door on the inside.

That's great, Rnoskey. I like your name for it and the decal you've designed. Puzzles me why the previous owners would have cut the wiring to the lights. Seems a pointless, defeating mod. If you can find the wire ends though, you should be able to use the existing wiring when you install new lighting. I'm guessing you have a multimeter, which you would use to trace the wires and verify they are good. DO install LEDs, not incandescent lights!
