We took our 2896B out for the first time Easter weekend. Weather was not the best but we got a trial for the unit. All was pretty good except no hot water, it lit and ran, but no hot water. After we got home, I checked it out, pulled the shut offs out of the line and all looked good except that the handle on the top valve had a handle come off while I was removing it and they are splined on the inside, it had been turned 90 degrees, so I had the waster just bypassing the heater. It now works. Have a couple of photos of the campsite we were in.

The water heater valves are a common happening for many of us. Another thing is getting only warm water when it should be hot. That can be traced back to the shower controls, indoor or outside, when the shower head button is turned off and the valves turned on causing the water to circulate backwards through the lines.

I have never heard of this, thanks Rich.

My hot water heater, which I just now got around to fixing, it had a hole, which I had welded a year ago. Then finally, this last October, I went to use it, after waiting for it to cycle the burner off, the water was LUKE warm at best. Well, on mine, by then it was dark, I took a luke warm shower.

Well, after investigating, I seem to have a thermostat that you can adjust, and not knowing it had been turned down, probably while cleaning things up or taking the whole thing apart to get it welded, you know... So, I moved it the other way, waited a while, sure enough my water was then hotter. so I moved it some more, think I got it.

Howard, I took the family's boat to this lake 2 years ago, the water was down a bit, but sheesh, over 100 yards from shore, while idling towards shore, the rocks ripped the prop up so bad. I haven't been there since, lol. nice place though, lots of electrical "near" the water, unlike lots of lakes I have been too... Love Milford the best thoug so far.

Sting,

We like the arrangements and shade of the campsites. Ususally camp in Cottonwood Point, but with them adding 60+ new campsites this year they are tore up right now. You should give it another try if we get some decent rains. It is a good fishing lake most of the time and the boaters and jet skiers get some fun out of it too.
