Meet my Refurbished '85 Funchaser
10 Attachment(s)
I'm so excited to post this! I'm the proud owner of my late grandfather's 1985 Hi-Lo I remember being 12 years old camping in this as a kid, now I'm 40 and my kids are making their own memories in it. I remember the day he brought it home and was proudly showing it off in his driveway. My husband and I just refurbished it and have been proudly showing it off in OUR driveway.
Crazy how things can go full circle. She's been named Suga' Lee. |
Thanks for posting.
What a beautiful rehab. Great family history!! Did you remove all windows and reseal? Many happy camping adventures.

Thank you! I'm so blessed! No, we didn't remove windows but we did reseal them. :)

Wow! Looks beautiful! Congratulations!!

Very nice, it really came back to life well. Nice job!

Looks GREAT! I’m working on my ‘89 Funlite. How did you do your ceiling? I’ve inherited this one from my mum. She redid the ceiling years ago but she wasn’t too sure of what she was doing (and it shows ). Love the exterior paint too!!!

Pictures of encouragement
Hiya! My wife and i are about to start on an adventure of refurbishing a 1980s funchaser and just wanted to say those pictures are images of encouragement. I also look forward to the response about the ceiling. Looks like we will need to repair some water damage from a broken skylight. I have never joined a forum before but this one looks like a positive and informative first try!!

You have a great rehab project. Many of our members have done extensive repairs/rebuilds. Post often with your questions.
