I remember snow. Lived in Fla since 1969, before that was White Bear Lake, Minn. So at least I remember the stuff.

how well insulated are these HiLo's. Do you' use them in that type of weather?
It's been too warm here to even test my furnace. I also have a position on my overhead air conditioner for supl. heat?

I don't know if either of them work.

They aren't well insulated and with single pane windows they cool off pretty fast. The furnace will keep it warm. We have been in 30 degree weather a number of times and have kept warm. Some good fleece blankets and sleeping bags are recommended. Set the thermostat to 50 and snuggle up. The A/C has a provision for an electric heat element that can be added if it isn't already, but of course you must be on shore power or a generator.

Change your thermostat to a digital one and you will get much more even heating.

that's what I suspected. Being as though this camper has always been a southerner (original selling dealer from Birmingham, AL) it likely doesn't have/need this option.

What I don't understand is .... the same insulation keeps the camper cool in our hot climate, why doesn't it work in reverse?
Yes, heat rises. And cold settles. But it's still should be contained within the box.

They have a furnace?? I have not found anything that looks like one yet.

NOTE: Don't underestimate a good Canadian whiskey.

Propane fueled/ forced hot air/ thru ducts, plus maybe an aux. heater in my overhead AC unit.

Maybe a furnace was an option back in 1969. Many popup campers were and maybe still that way.

For the manual that I downloaded from this site it shows that the furnace was an extra. Don't have one.

Still everything in the pic looks so nice. Minnesota.
