Default Starting our 1963 Custom Camper restoration

We are 2 months into our restoration process. These photos are from the first weekend of tear down. A previous owner had attempted to repair it, but used the wrong materials. The whole top had to be rebuilt. We do have the upper half rebuilt, new birch on all the walls, and the floor installed......more pictures to come.

This is the progress as of yesterday. The walls to the top are also built and skinned. We are waiting to assemble them. Hopefully the top goes on next weekend.

Don't think that people aren't following your progress just because there's no posting behind yours. Most of us are keeping a pretty sharp eye on your trailer and anxious to see how it comes out.

Hi Mossy, drop an email to the hubby at NicksDarts@att.net. We have construction pix, camping pix, etc. We read your posts and are impressed with your work.

You should post them on your own photo thread! Everyone here loves photos. I will email you as well, as we have questions about the type of trim etc (ours was missing all of it).

Slowly moving forward. The wall cap should be here next week...then the bulb seal and rails can be installed.

She is officially off the boards and standing on her own...yay! She went down and up with no problem....but for some reason does not want to go back down again. The passenger front corner is bound up/hanging up. We will look into it more on Sunday when we have some time to work on her. Any suggestions on how to get the cables adjusted properly? keep in mind that the whole top has been rebuilt, so we don't have the standard things to go by. I know your not supposed o line up to siding, etc.

here is a forum link to just one raticle on cable adjustment- but it is a good one. put "cable adjustment" into the search function and you will get more. That said- I dont know how much change there has been over the years as to how this is done.
