Camping started off with a rough start.

Woke up the day we were packing to leave with my right eyelid feeling very sore. If i had called the eye DR> we would have had to delay the trip one day. Fuse was blown on DH's jack switch replacement. Removed the cover and couldn't see where any wires were touching. Went to Auto Zone for more fuses. Had disconnected the battery before replacing switch. Had to reset one GFC.Realized we forgot our 1lb. bottles of propane. bottles for the portable Colemen stove. The next day my eyelid was swollen (edema) and red. Went to urgent care. Hated to pay $60.00 copay. Dr. said i had a sty on the upper interior lid and lower lid. CVS pharmacy $2.40 for antibiotic eye gtts. Finished the gtts on Wed. Came home Thursday with A very reddened eye lid and a visible sty on the lower interior lid. Have an apt. tomorrow with the eye DR.While we were out Called some places for the propane and tried five stores. Some never got a shipment and some sold out a few weeks ago. Covid manufacturing shortage. Made friends with another camping couple. They had to go to a neighboring town for RX. They stopped into BJ's warehouse and found a 6pack of Coleman propane. They gave us two and wouldn't let us pay. We supplied all the wood for the nightly campfires. Went to the store for a loaf of bread, Had to set our "hot commodity in the doorway and locked the door". The rest of the camping trip was uneventful.

Now might be a good time to wean yourself off of those infernal 1 lb. propane bottles.

Funny you should mention an adapter.

Years ago we did some simpler camping. We used our coleman with an adapt a pole to the twenty pound tank. Just didn't think we would need this. The tanks on our RV are 30LB. Would this adapt to the 30lb. tanks. For the most part I cook ahead at home. DH brings our garden fresh zuccini to fry. The trailer then stinks of zuccini and frying oil. Better to cook outside on the picnic table. You bet we won't forget the propane 1lb bottles next time we go out!! It was on the packing list and we got weary from all day of packing. The next outing is close to home. Thanks for the link.

The adapter will screw onto any standard 10, 20, 30 or 40 pound tank

First campout of the year.

The first four days I had two families from our camping club. I was by myself for the remainder of two weeks. It got cold most nights. Turned the furnice on and it only blew cold air. Then the hot water tank wouldn't work. Called DH and he told me to turn the propane on. DUH!! Took me three days to remember where the outside lt. switch was. Then I had no power to any of the outlets. DH came down. The surge protector had a red light. Thought maybe the 30amp fuse in the converter had blown. Then DH realized the power had shut down at the pedestal. Must have been low voltage or a spike. The night i had no furnice i used a small electric heater.I said we all were rusty after our long winter. DH has just a few small repairs. Our friends need a new converter for their motorhome. Good to be home with internet and the comforts of reliable telephone service. DH had to be home to take DD to work and supervise the landscapers.
