It doesn't take much to make me happy

Saw a few Rvs on the road today and a few at "gull mart" We went to our friends house to do a few volunteer repairs for two disabled folks. My job was to cheer dh on and tell him what a good job he was doing. Anyway ,we passed by the KOA and saw five pieces of realestate camping. Another private campsite we passed by was also open. Our state parks open April 11th. We may be seeing more campers from Canada as they are now allowed to bring back more goods after a two or three day stay. Years ago I went to Canada to take advantage of the huge $ difference. No $ advantage for us USA citizens now. Our Walmart can hardly keep stocked up with all our Canadian friends shopping.

For years now, our state has been really busy with Canadians each summer. A number of RV parks in our panhandle are almost entirely booked each summer, by our northern friends. Their tourism dollars absolutely helped some areas of our State get through the recent depression.

Whenever we pull into a campsite and see (in the next site over) license plates from either British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan (those we see the most of out here), we know we're going to have good neighbors and be with safe campers. Eh! :)

Canadian campers/shoppers

This helps our tax base too. Our city is on austerity budget. We ticked off the Indians because our wonderful governor/legislature allowed casinos in a few more spots. This violated the agreement we had with them as a host city. They have witheld millions in payments that is due to the city of Niagara Falls. No enforcement to make people mow lawns and clean up code violations. We have creditwith thiscompany that we lease a pothole killer machine from. They trust us to pay when the $ is freed up. EH, I hear this all the time in Walmart.
