"R rated" What brand and ply of toilet paper do you use in your RV.

Figures a Nurse would start a topic like this!!! Why is the scotts and other brand of Rv toilet paper so expensive. Just because it claims to be rapid disolving. We;ve always used tp rated for Rv Scott or what ever was the cheapest at Walmart. One time I found some on the reduced at the end of the camping season. We use scotts 2pl at home and doen"t have plumbing problems. Now I,m going to use 2pl scott in the RV. Should it be 1pl or 2pl. When we are camping we try to only use the toilet at night. Hike to the public BR. Did a little looking on the internet for the answer to rapid disolving,1pl or 2 pl. Couldn't find an answer. Hope this dilema doesn't keep you up at night!!!! LOL sam

The Truth About Toilet Paper and Your RV

I agree with the answer above. Hi-Lo's don't have a complicated holding system. Waste goes straight into the tank and pretty much straight out. The black water holding tank, is just that, it is not a septic system. You should dump the tanks as soon as possible. Leaving waste in the tank for extended periods could cause clogging, no matter what kind of paper you use. Proper care is whats important not the type of paper. We have always used heavy 2 ply paper and have never had a problem.

Toilet paper and holding tanks

We always empty at the dump station at the end of our camping trip. sam
